More About Ann (and Stan)
Here is a boring link that will tell you about
Ann's life on paper:
Ann's Art and Work Resume
Now that those are out of the way, want to hear the juicy
stuff? Yes? Sorry...my life is pretty pedestrian, you may be
disappointed. I'm an Eastender...not London, not Berlin, Madison.
That's in Wisconsin. As in the U.S. of A. Yes, as a matter of
fact, I do like cheese, funny you should ask. No, I wasn't born
here...I was born in Racine...90 miles away. Now before you get
an idea that I'm a sausage-eating, Packer-worshiping size XXL-wearing
cheddarhead, I must inform you that most of my life has been
spent living elsewhere. I lived in 5 different states by the
time I was 10. I spent 17 years in Colorado. I ended up in Madison
because the Stork brought home the wrong graduate school acceptance
letter. There is someone else walking around out there who went
to a really cool graduate art school, had really great professors,
and got a teaching job at a prestigious university. That wasn't
me, and in a way I'm grateful for that. Instead of spending boring
hours institutionalized repetitively regurgitating knowledge
to privileged partiers, I work at home creating my own art and
web graphics for clients. When Stan and I have time free, we
are usually holed up in our computer room Brycing and listening
to Eno. Romantic, isn't it?
No kids. Don't go there. We have animals instead. 2 cats,
a Boston Terrier and a Pug. We have an old post-Victorian house
that turned 90 this year. The roof leaks. I love my neighborhood,
even though it has a bad reputation from ignorant bourgeois Westsiders.
